Shit Happens — what’s worse in life?

Shit Happens (Family Edition) is a party card game guaranteed to spark laughter from the very first card. Each card describes an unpleasant real-life situation with its own Suffering Index, and your job is simple: rank them from mildly annoying to truly awful. Sounds easy? Not once the arguments start — because it turns out everyone has a very different idea of what’s actually worse.

Is sitting on a freshly painted bench worse than losing your phone down the toilet? Or is soaking your new shoes in the rain more annoying than walking into a glass door in front of a packed café? These are exactly the kinds of situations that spark the fiercest debates at the table. This “Family Edition” is a milder version of the original 18+ game, making it a great fit for playing together with parents, grandparents, and teens.

How to play

1. Each player receives a few cards and ranks them by Suffering Index.
2. A new card is drawn each turn — guess where it fits into your ranking by Suffering Index.
3. Guess correctly and the card is yours. Guess wrong, and another player gets a chance.
4. First to collect 10 cards wins!
