Petanque

Petanque is a sports game that everyone can play: children, parents and grandparents. It does not require a large square or other fancy equipment. All you need is a set of pétanque balls and a small court. You’ll learn to play this game in just a few minutes, but you’ll hone your skills for a lifetime. It can be played both as an amateur and to participate in the activities of various clubs and competitions held around the world.

Petanque balls can have special markings or different colors. This distinguishes which player or team the balls belong to. The balls themselves are made of metal, have a diameter of up to eight centimeters and weigh 650-800 g. Professional players or the biggest enthusiasts of the game engrave their balls in a unique way, but it is not really necessary to enjoy this great game.

The purpose of the game is to drop your balls as close as possible to a wooden target called a Jack. For each ball that is closer to the target than the nearest opponent’s ball to the target, you get one point. The game is played to thirteen points.
