CASCADIA is Spiel des Jahres Award 2022 award-winning board game for the whole family about nature! Travel to the Pacific Northwest to create the most harmonious ecosystem in all of Cascadia! Collect points by completing wildlife objectives and creating the largest range corridors. The goal of each game can be different, so you can play a new version of the game every time!

Game rules

Each player starts with three terrain hexes, with a representation of what animals live in them. One to several species of animals can live on each piece of land. Land areas and animals form pairs. During your turn, you choose one of the pairs and attach it to the lands you have. There is only one rule of connection: the animal is placed on the land where it can live.

Your goal is not just to expand the lands and populate them with animals. You’re doing it all for points. And they can be earned in two ways:

1. Connect identical lands to each other (this makes the game less flexible than it seems).
2. Try to fulfill nature’s goal cards. An example of such a goal: keeping bears in one group. And, for example, eagles fly alone in the vastness of the sky, etc. Each animal has 3 different scoring conditions.

All in all, Cascadia is a game with over 100 different combinations, so you’ll be creating a new land area puzzle as you play.
